CINCINNATI METRO

Visual Identity

Summary:

These projects showcase an overhaul of Metro’s new brand identity into applicable items such as bus wraps, campaigns, newsletters, brochures, onboarding signs, etc. The work includes bringing the visual system to life in unique ways while effectively communicating information to the riders, operators, and the internal Metro employees.

Approach:

I used Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop to develop designs following specific specs and dimensions from blueprints and text copy given by clients.

BRT Bus Wrap

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is a high-quality, bus-based travel option that combines the speed, efficiency, and comfort of rail transit with the flexibility of traditional bus service. It’s a bold transit innovation for the Cincinnati region that brings faster-than-ever service and significantly reduced travel times for riders. I got the privilege of designing the bus wrap for the future BRT buses that will be launched out on the roads in 2028.

Brand Campaigns

Metro participates in giving campaigns, promotions and events all throughout the year. This includes making posters, schedules, brochures, garage screens, onboard signage, transit cards, banners, and other miscellaneous assets to assist with brand visuals.

DRIVE Newsletter

DRIVE Newsletter is a monthly visual and tangible update of the internal and external news, events, and experiences for the employees of Metro. The button below shows a sample of what these look like.

Anderson Transit Center

The Anderson Transit Center project is Metro’s first Park and Ride areas with a built in sheltered area. The objective of the Graphic Designers was to decorate the interior space in a visually compelling manner while staying within Metro’s brand guidelines. It was a 3 month long project with multiple rounds of brainstorming, iterative work, material testing, and mockups.
